Day -24 : Something to digest : Polruan to Polperro

20.03.2022: It was less stormy than yesterday but on the cliffs it was sometimes really difficult to walk as gusts moved you in a different direction! At least it was onshore – so no real dangerous situation. It was sunny but a bit misty.

I bought a one month travel card for Cornwall the other day. So I can go by bus when and where I want now. If there are going any buses. Today I had to cycle from my campsite to Polruan to start my walk to Polperro. From Polperro I went onto the bus to Barcelona. Well, not in Spain! The little village with the campsite just claims to be Barcelona. Why not.

There were several thoughts in my head today but nothing what I could or would write about. So, let’s focus on internet and food. Not only thoughts need to be digested but also food. As my mobile contract sucked (almost) empty for this month I need to find ways to get my videos, pictures and updates via WIFI. And again I was not able to resist to visit one of the pub chains here in the UK: The Wetherspoons – not the finest pub but free coffee refills (and those Lavaza coffees are really good with a coffee machine produced in Switzerland). I will order some food later on when finished my work for today and can focus on tomorrows walk. It should be from Mevagissey to Fowey – but that depends if I drink one pint or more…

If I had to decide where to stay for a couple of day I would certainly prefer Polruan instead of Polperro.

BTW: The SWCP distance calculator says: „The distance from Polruan (ferry) to Poole Harbour – South Haven Point is 252.1 miles [405.7km]“ – so it could be possible to crack half the distance this week.

Below loads of pictures of the coastline and the villages. Please click to enlarge if you want. Below are my Komoot Tour Details, the Relive Summary Video and a Timewarp Video.
