Day -44 : Tesla, Rollercoaster, Adrenalin? : Hartland Quay to Bude

06.04.2022: It was certainly less raining than the day before. But when it started to rain it felt more like hail than rain. It really hurt in the face due to the strong winds and gusts. But my outdoor gear was dry after a couple of minutes due to the strong wind…

Suddenly I felt like sitting the first time in a Tesla Performance Model. From „now to now“ without any delay the strong gusts got me from my track. Once trying to move back on track the gusts stopped and I was on the other side of the track. That was funny but keeping into account that the cliffs are 300-500ft heigh it certainly gave me enough adrenalin – even if I did not have a coffee in the morning. And once I got used to it the wind changed again an pushed me from a different direction. In some situation I stuck and had to wait to get on again. I was so happy to have „all wheel drive“ with my pair of sticks. Never again without them!

I have had different situations in life where it was rough and challenging and most of the times I found back to track. Sometimes you have to move a step back to get two steps forward again. But I certainly would not like to be on the water with my sailing boat in such severe weather conditions.

But in the end I managed to be right on time in Bude to catch the last bus going to Hartland. Went with my bike from Hartland to Hartland Quay (where my van was parked) and met with James in the pub at Hartland Quay (nice one at the end of the world)

Below are some pictures of the coastline. Please click to enlarge if you want. Also below are my Komoot Tour Details, the Relive Summary Video and a Timewarp Video.
