Day -43 : Ups and Downs : Bude to Boscastle

05.04.2022: Dry, better than the day before, even a bit of sunshine. Good waking conditions.

What is all about Crackington Haven? Sounds a bit like cracking bones and twisted ankles. But it was not as expected. Of course it went up and down and up and down and up and down (have not counted it how often). It felt a bit like the Alps Crossing „light“. But that is quite common on this path. 3-4 times climbing up and down the Mount Everest in total of altitude. The highest cliffs today were over 200 meters above sea level – I guess it cannot be estimated by viewing the pictures.

But these ups and downs reminded me a bit of situations in life. If it goes down there will be a phase when its going up again. Have a pause to recover before its going up and when you reached the top. It can be similar with the weather, a period of sunshine followed by a period of rain. Luckily today it was dry but for tomorrow it might be raining again. Looking forward to that as there will be sunshine again after the rain 🙂

This was a fairly demanding stretch with all the ups and downs and almost 28km. I started in Bude (left my van there) and from Boscastle I went back on the bus.

Below are some pictures of the coastline. Please click to enlarge if you want. Also below are my Komoot Tour Details, the Relive Summary Video and a Timewarp Video.
