31.03.2022: Good weather but freezing cold. Well, apparently the winter is back in Germany and snow is everywhere. Once again, I am not complaining. Perfect weather conditions… apart from the storm.
Either I have lost too much weight already and a small gust or breeze knocks me down already or this was really a severe wind which I am not used to (living in the countryside).
A couple of times I got blown off track and once I fell in the bushes as the wind hit me unexpectedly. I felt like drifting in a car or drifting with my sailing boat (is it called drifting with boat ?). I had to walk towards my right to move straight. Luckily the it was onshore wind and the gusts were not able to push me off the cliffs!!!
Apart form my drift experience I was able to play foot tetris for hours again. Writing that I have to mention that I almost missed my bus in Pendeen. I had plenty of time for the (a bit more than) 25 km – when walking on normal grounds (does not matter if up/downhill). But with focussing all the time where to put the feet next steps and how to avoid walking through the water all the time and do a couple of climbing – that obviously takes more time than expected. This resulted into switching to my hypergear during the last hour of my walk to catch the coaster bus. Luckily all went well at the end and I got back to my van.
