Day -7 : Tough Mudder : Burton Bradstock to Weymouth

02.03.2022: My weather app indicated an almost dry day from about 9am onwards. What it did not show me was how many billions of liters have been rained on this specific section of the path. I had the choice to jump, swim, get off my hiking boots or just return and take the bus back to my van. The bus ride was quite nice – well it is meant to be a nice coastal view as the First Bus X53 goes along the Jurassic Coast. But if the windows are fogged up and outside view is not much better, I had no choice.

I followed my Smartphone app. First mistake! It routed me via the „Summer Route“… actually I did not see an alternative Sign wich says „Winter Route“. So, I followed the Summer Route and it turned out to be more a tough mudder challenge than a nice and demanding walk. It was a challenge for my boots, they were quite resistant for a long time but continuously walking through mud and water ends up with wet socks… and I had another 20km to move in those wet shoes! Next time I would certainly follow the pebble stones beach, even if that is quite demanding and slow.

I do not need a fancy completion à la Tough Mudder, this one was better!

Maybe some pictures describe better than words…
