Day -21 : Kernow : Wiggle Cliff to Cremyll Ferry

17.03.2022: Finally! Finally in Cornwall. But finally means also the journey begins in that part of Britain which is meant to be not England but Kernow. I used the Tamar Ferry Service (which was free of charge when going from Devon to Cornwall, opposite direction they do charge…). The weather was fantastic when I arrived here so I decided to do a small walk from somewhere to Cremyll Ferry Point. Somewhere is a parking place in the middle of nowhere and the nearest named location I found on the map was Wiggle Cliff. Okay, we are in Kernow now.

From the recent years I know that it can be quite squeezy on those little narrow roads. And with a massive van it might not always be a good choice to take those lanes – unless there are no other alternatives. But I have my feet and my little bicycle for those cases. Today I spotted a sign “don’t follow GPS navigation, this road is too narrow for vehicles wider than 2m” – that was a really good help for me and I hope to see those signs more often. At least when there are alternative routes I could use.

I chained my bike in Chemyll parked my van on that parking place with a fantastic view and off I went to the SWCP. I needed to hurry a bit on that walk as I expected the evening dusk could be an issue when going back by bike. But all went smoothly and well – without critical situations.

I did not take a lot of pictures today but you can still find an assorted collection of photographs. Please click to enlarge if you want. Below are my Komoot Tour Details, the Relive Summary Video and two Timewarp Videos.
