Day -30 : Breathtaking : Mullion to Coverack

26.03.2022: Best weather for walking, a bit stormy and gusty on the cliffs maybe.

I took an early bus from Helston to Mullion. I thought it was Mullion but it was Mullion Holiday Park which was about 1-2 miles away from the SWCP! Well it would be a long day anyway, why bother about another couple of miles…

Once I was on the path the views were breathtaking. It is not possible to capture if on pictures or videos I guess. I felt very grateful to be on this walk.

But after the day got longer and longer it was also breathtaking what the path did with me. My Komoot app described the last couple of miles to Coverack as „easy“ – hmm, I would not even say easy without having walked already 30 km. I found the terrain quite difficult to walk on. I have not idea where Komoot gets their data from and prognoses easy, medium or difficult. Generally speaking the app works really nice and is indeed very helpful. But today I was first time disappointed by the app.

Another thing was breathtaking… for a moment. A snake crossed my path! I hoped that this time of year I would see none of them. Must have been due to the warm temperatures. If you want to see it have a look at the Relive Video Summary further down.

However, I had gorgeous views and a really nice but very long day on the path.

Below are some pictures of the coastline. Please click to enlarge if you want. Also below are my Komoot Tour Details, the Relive Summary Video and a Timewarp Videos.
